Employment Support

GGP employment services offer immigrants and refugees a variety of support through resources and learning opportunities. Our goal is for newcomers to gain the knowledge and skills to start a successful career in Canada.

Some of the services that you can benefit from include:

Résumé Clinic/Job Search Support: Join this session to get help applying for jobs and learn more about how to find work in your occupation. This program is offered every second month.

Achievers Club: This 5-session, short-term program provides fast access to training and support to help you find employment in your field. Offered every second month.

ASCEND (Applied Skills Curriculum to Empower Newcomer Development): Employment readiness program for skilled immigrants. This program supports soft skills and intercultural competencies. ASCEND uses a “blended learning” model, which includes self-study and in-person workshops. Offered every second month along with Job Search Support. For clients with a language level of CLB 6 or higher.

Resume Target Career Platform: Free tool for professional résumé and cover letter writing, plus other career- related resources. Resume Target offers a special page just for GGP clients HERE.

One-on-One Employment Support: Meet with an experienced GGP staff member to work together on your specific employment goals/needs.
